This house museum was the place where Rafael Núñez lived and died, an illustrious Cartagena who held the presidency four times.

This beautiful, spacious and fresh colonial wooden house of two floors located in the El Cabrero neighborhood near the sea, green with white, is full of the spirit of order, away from the luxuries but very elegant.

It preserves the simplicity and elegance of the Cartagena Rafael Núñez, who repeated for several years the presidency of Colombia, who today is remembered through elements that remain intact, and are displayed in each of the rooms, personal belongings, and art collections.

From this place emerged the fundamental ideas that generated one of the greatest political reforms of the country in the nineteenth century: the Constitution of 1886.

Constitution that directed the course of Colombia until 1991, the year in which the current Magna Carta was written.

The Rafael Núñez House Museum is in charge of preserving and disseminating the historical legacy of the Colombian president’s thought and seeks to promote permanent dialogue with its public through the generation of collective memory, as well as the sense of identity and belonging of the heritage of the region.
